The health and safety of all CWSA members, athletes, families, event organizers, event volunteers and event spectators is of the highest priority for the CWSA.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Asia and its spread to other continents, many governments have taken precautions restricting travel to or return travel from many countries and have imposed public health related cancellations of large public gatherings, including public sporting events. In addition, many air carriers have imposed service limitations to and between many countries.
We continue to remain optimistic that this world health crisis will be successfully resolved in the very near future.
It is currently not known what the scope of future limitations may be or when present limitations will be lifted.
Based on recently updated travel restrictions and advisories issued by several government and the uncertainty of possible future return travel quarantine restrictions, additional events have elected to postpone and reschedule:
Tribe X Wakesurf Championship 2020 Persian Gulf, Dubai, UAE (Gold Level)
Postponed from 3/19/2020 – 3/21/2020 to 4/10/2020- 4/11/2020
Registration for this event remains open.
The in-county risk in Dubai is currently reported as very low, and the public health officials in the UAE continue to be extremely proactive to contain the spread of COVID-19 and limit the risk.
However, for the reasons stated above, this event has been postponed for three weeks.
The CWSA and the event organizer will continue to closely monitor this situation and further updates will be provided as circumstances warrant.
If future conditions force an additional postponement or cancellation of this event, the option for refund of the athlete event registration fee for this event will be available.

North American events remain unaffected.
