| The health and safety of all CWSA members, athletes, families, event organizers, event volunteers and event spectators is of the highest priority for the CWSA. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Asia and its spread to other continents, many governments have taken precautions restricting travel to or return travel from many countries and have imposed public health related cancellations of large public gatherings, including public sporting events. In addition, many air carriers have imposed service limitations to and between many countries. We remain optimistic that this world health crisis will be successfully resolved in the very near future. It is currently not known what the scope of future limitations may be or when present limitations will be lifted. In light of these circumstances the following events have been postponed: Mass Star Wakesurf Competition 2020 Deep Water Bay, Hong Kong SAR (Platinum Level) Postponed from 5/9/2020 to 5/10/2020 to 8/29/2020-8/30/2020 X-CUBE CUP 2020 Edo River, Ichikawa, Japan (Gold Level) Postponed from 5/16/2020 to 5/17/2020 to 9/5/2020-9/6/2020 The 1st Wake Surfing Competition in Penang Straits Quay Marina Mall and Marina, Penang Island, Malaysia (Silver Level) Postponed from 3/22/2020 to October 2020 date to be determined. The CWSA will continue to closely monitor developments and inform you as relevant information becomes available. North American events remain unaffected.
