The team of judges at each CWSA competition consists of: one Head Judge, one Co-Head Judge and one “Judging Team.”
The Head Judge is a qualified individual selected by the Event Organizer. This individual takes on the large-scale responsibilities for the competition, such as determining the best course layout, conducting pre-event meetings, assuring safety compliance and much more.
A Co-Head Judge is appointed to take on the responsibilities of the Head Judge in the event that the Head Judge can no longer do so.
The “Judging Team” at each competition consists of a minimum of three judges: Caller, Judge 1 and Judge 2. This team’s duties are to evaluate athlete performance, sum up scores and so on.
Every judge at a CWSA event is qualified and hand-selected. Our judges work hard to obtain the goal of upholding fair and safe standards and regulations throughout each wake surf competition.
