The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board (MPRB) has yet to issue a permit for the 2020 10,000 Lakes Wakesurf Open event site. At this time, we will open the registration as planned but everyone will be *waitlisted*. When a permit is secured the waitlisted participants will receive an email and be allowed to register from the waitlist, and pay the event registration fee.
The event organizers plan to hear from the MPRB on Thursday, July 9, 2020. A definitive answer as to status of this event will occur no later than Monday, July 13, 2020.
With that said, we are pleased to announce that at this current time we will be opening up registration for the 2020 10,000 Lakes Wake Surf Open. This will be a one-day event on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Registration will open on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm EST (11:00 am CST).
This is the first onsite event since the onset of the pandemic! The status of this event is dependent on the ability to attain permits from the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board in conjunction the governors “Stay Safe Minnesota” initiative. Event fees will be returned in the event of cancelation.
This gold level event has a history of being a tremendous family orientated competition in beautiful downtown Minneapolis on the banks of the Mississippi.
